To the west of Nagasaki City and facing the Sumonada Sea, the Fukuda district was once a port for the Nanban trade (trades between Japan and the West). In the 1960s, the district turned into a lively place, and it was commonly known as the amusement park of Fukuda. Today, the region centers around “Nagasaki Sunset Marina”, a resort where you can experience and enjoy various marine activities.
