Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture

Create new connections while immersed in history.

| Historical Story |

The Nagasaki Magistrate’s Tateyama Office was once located here. Reenactments of court trials are held in the Magistrate’s Office Zone. Suwa Shrine, where the Nagasaki Kunchi Festival is held, is also nearby.

▲The museum premises were once the Nagasaki Magistrate’s Office. In the restored Magistrate’s Office Zone, you can still feel the history of Nagasaki.

The museum’s theme is the “History of Overseas Exchange”, which makes its Event Square perfect as a unique venue for multi-national events and functions. There is an adjacent lawn that is also available for various events. In the restored Nagasaki Magistrate’s Office, events such as trial reenactments are held on Sundays.
